Joanne Asala, Senior Editor
Joanne, a Chicago native, is an accomplished author and editor with more than 15 years of experience in book, magazine, educational, and business publishing. Skilled in both print and on-line editing, Joanne holds a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Iowa and is certified in tech writing and editing. She handles the majority of the editing at Compass Rose Horizons, but if there is a particular project that she feels is better suited for another editor, she will work with you to find the right one.

Cristina Van Dyck Weiss, Proofreader
Originally from the Chicago area, Cris is an experienced proofreader with a Bachelor’s in English literature from Loyola University. She enjoys writing, reading, and keeping up with her young son, Alex. She recently moved back to the States after having lived in Stuttgart, Germany, for seven years. She currently makes Elburn, Illinois, her home.
Robert “Ted” Calhoun, Webmaster and Tech Consultant
Born in Ohio, Ted was raised in Missouri and Kansas and earned a dual major in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Kansas. He is an experienced software developer and an Oracle® Certified Internet Applications Developer, with extensive knowledge of Java programming. Additionally, he has supervised and mentored development teams overseas. Ted now resides in Chicago and is the president of Compass Rose Technologies, Inc., a full-service software development, custom programming, and Web design company.
