My spelling is Wobbly. It’s good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.—Winnie-the-Pooh, from Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne
Welcome to Compass Rose Horizons.
We offer expert proofreading, editing, book design, and transcription services.
Whether you are a student, a professional writer, or a business executive who writes a lot of office memos, you need to have your work proofread by another person. Today’s business, academic, and professional worlds demand excellence in written communications. In order to maintain your professional credibility and improve your overall first impression, your work should be free from typos or organizational problems. If you do not have an in-house staff to handle your proofreading and editing jobs, we can help. Our staff is comprised of a small group of English majors and journalists who have worked professionally as editors, proofreaders, and writers for 10 or more years. We only hire native-born English speakers and never outsource our contracts overseas. You can rest assured that your document is in good hands.

“Thank you for the great editing job of Illusion. Your attention to detail was impressive.”—Camelia Rose, Pennsylvania
You may send your document via the Internet, fax, or through the mail. We primarily work with Microsoft® Word, Adobe PageMaker®, and Adobe Acrobat®. Depending on how your document is submitted, we can return it via e-mail, burned on a CD, or in the mail. If you send your document electronically, you will get it back as clean, corrected text. If you send a hard copy, we can only return a marked-up hard copy back to you. For first-time customers submitting a document more than 50 pages in length, a deposit of 25% is required before we can begin work.
All correspondences and materials will be held in strict confidence. We will not share your personal information or the details of your project with anyone. In addition, we always offer a 5% discount if you pay for your entire project in advance via PayPal! We also accept checks and money orders. Please see our Make a Payment page for payment options.
