How We Edit
We use the track-edits and comments features of MS Word to edit or proofread your manuscript. If you prefer, we can edit and mark a printed version instead. Level One: Express Proofreading
Express proofreading is a great choice if your manuscript has already been reviewed several times — by yourself, by your peers, by another editor — and you only need a fast, final read for minor mistakes. The greater part of our authors who request express proofreading have already had their manuscripts distributed to an audience and would like to come out with a revised copy. This is the service to order if your manuscript has already been edited by a professional editor and you only require someone to perform a final inspection before sending it to an agent, publishing house, or before you send it to the printer.

Level Two: Basic Proofreading
If you are pleased with the overall framework of your manuscript and only wish for the rhetoric to be put in order, basic proofreading is the way to go. The basic service includes proofing for obvious spelling flubs, typos, punctuation missteps, capitalization glitches, and muddled grammar. If all you really need is to have your manuscript edited for routine errors, this is the service you should order.
Level Three: Extended Proofreading / Line-by-Line Copyediting
Most manuscripts we receive have not been previously edited, so this is the most frequently requested service that we offer. In addition to everything covered under our basic proofreading option, your manuscript will be read for general structure, articulation, inconsistencies, logic, wordiness, and redundancies. We might include suggestions for how to make your writing more clear, or rearrange sentences for better comprehension and overall readability.
